Badeji Adeyemi Joseph was born in May 1957 to the family of Alabi Odewale Badeji and Madam Maria Asabi Badeji of Agba Compound Igbaja.

He attended Demonstration Primary School, Igbaja from January 1966to December 1972 after which he went to Lagos as an apprentice in trading. He later started his own business in Lagos where he traded for many years before he recently returned to Igbaja for farming.
He is happily married and the union is blessed with many children.
