Jolayemi Segun Olalekan was born over 40years ago to the family of Mr. J.O Jolayemi of Akinode Compound, Igbaja and Mrs. A.B. Jolayemi of Afin Community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

He attended Baptist LGEA Primary School and Baptist Grammar School both in Igbaja for School Leaving Certificate and SSCE Certificate respectively. A graduate of Estate Management from Kwara State Polytechnic and currently serving as Councilor representing Igbaja Ward 1 in Ifelodun Local Government Legislative Council. Before been elected as the Councilor, he worked with Niyi Afolayan & Co an Estate Surveyor and Valuer Company based in Ilorin Kwara State. He was later appointed as Personal Assistant of Commissioner for works and transport, Commissioner for Agric, and commissioner for housing and Urban Development in Kwara State after his 1 year Mandatory NYSC service in Biu Local Government Area in Borno State. He’s happily married.
